Due to the official closure of one of the footpaths on the route we have had to cancel this year’s races. Also, with many local events celebrating victory in WW2 at around that time there will be plenty of other things to do. Please support these if you can. We intend to be back next year, with all the great prizes & children’s races.
Thanks to all who took part in the Flitton Flits last year and congratulations to the winners. Thanks also to the marshals without whom we could not stage the event. Thanks also to all those who donated prizes & to the staff at the White Hart for all their hard work providing the after race barbeque.
We made a good profit on the event, some of which we spent on a new wheeled strimmer which we have been using regularly on local footpaths. We are also planning a new leaflet showing all the footpaths in the parish as well as information on local places of interest. This will be delivered to all households in the parish when available.
